Named for the famous Northern Virginia Confederate colonel, John Singleton Mosby, this is the first heritage area designated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Formed in 1995 to increase awareness of the historic, cultural and natural qualities of a unique part of western Loudoun and northern Fauquier Counties. Site includes Heritage info, maps and driving tours, lecture series, projects and historical markers, contacts and links. Based in Middleburg, Loudoun County, VA.
